Country: Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) Member States

The overall objective and scope of this assignment was to support UNIDO for the development of regional decarbonization and climate change adaptation project concepts and documents in the ECCAS countries, with a primary focus on engaging stakeholders such as the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the European Union (EU) and the Adaptation Fund (AF).

The key tasks involved :

Development of project concepts in line with donor requirements – One adaptation concept and two mitigation concepts focused on regional interventions.

Preparation of project documents aligned with donor requirements: This involved drafting a comprehensive funding proposal, including a results framework, indicators, assessments, and mission inputs, while adhering to the specific project development cycle templates of each donor. Additionally, this process included creating an Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and a Gender Assessment accompanied by a Gender Action Plan.
